  11. I know everyone knows I hate to be a curmudgeon, but it's those
  12. "certain details" and "cooperation" that will prove to be the
  13. obstacles in this rose-colored-glasses scheme of plug-in development.

  15. No sane software developer hands over their commercial source code 
  16. to anyone that they don't trust implicitly.  Sure, a few plug-ins
  17. might get cross-ported this way.  I do expect there to be a fair
  18. number of freeware plug-ins, too, that might get ported this way.

  20. I continue to maintain that most software developers get nervous
  21. when someone merely looks over their shoulder at their code,
  22. not to mention zipping it all up, sending it across the unsecure
  23. Internet, and letting someone else re-compile and debug their code.
